Live Music , played in a family friendly atmosphere, will begin this Friday March 3rd at the Oroville Grange. A returning tradition, begun years back by the Friends of the Library, “Java Live” will take place on the first Friday of each month from 6:30-9:30 pm. Java Live will feature local musicians performing in a Coffee House setting at the Grange Hall. Coffees, Teas, Juices and Baked goods will be served as refreshment throughout the evening. This Friday, March 3rd, the Oroville Grange “Java Live” will feature the original Blue Grass music of “Cheat Grass”. Ron, Judy, Quill and friends from 7 pm- 8:30 pm. These folks are always fun, hugely entertaining and not to be missed.
There will be an intermission between musical performances of 15-20 minutes. During this time, local spoken word artist, Bobbi Hackett of Chesaw will share her insightful poetry on rural life and much more.
Singer/Songwriter Harvey Swanson will take the Java Live Stage from 8:45 pm until closing. Harvey’s music is rich with images and insights spanning 5 albums and 50 years of living in the Okanogan Highlands. Great Original music is what Harvey Swanson does best.
